Our stunning failure to address the debt issue is far and away the largest issue. It is one that will affect the global economy and color everything else that happens for years to come…

Thanks for the poll. It was hard to pick, that was a good list.
As a techie at heart, I think mobile and cyber security should always be said in the same breath as cloud computing, since the three concepts are key components of the architecture and are so closely related. But the issues with funding are really key too. So that had to get my vote.
Next year we might all look back and say “Big Data” solutions, riding on new modern cloud architectures, was the story of 2012.

You’re right — I forgot to add mobile to my list above…
I also didn’t include the WikiLeaks issue, which seems to have long term ramifications on open government, collaboration, transparency. (I just included open government broadly.)
