We talk to the new head at Unisys federal

Many people have been talking about what has been going on at Unisys Federal. Two weeks ago, they changed leadership. Greg Baroni left “to persue other interests” and they the company brought in Ted Davies, who is widely respected in the government IT market.

On Friday on Federal News Radio’s Daily Debrief with Chris Dorobek and Amy Morris, we spoke with Davies in what I believe is his first interview. Hear the interview here. [.mp3]

Unisys has had a difficult few years. After Unisys won the big TSA deal, they initially were tossed out of recompete. Following protests, the contract is still in limbo. Davies told us that he is meeting with TSA officials in the coming week.

I have heard from people both inside Unysis and among its competitors that they have profound respect for Davies. Unisys will be interesting to watch in the coming months and years.
